Dr Brown read Medicine at Sheffield University qualifying in 1992. Her medical interests are Women's Health, Cardiovascular Disease and Health Promotion. Dr Brown is a GP Trainer and a Programme Director for Banbury GP Training Scheme.

Dr Darker read Medicine at Newcastle upon Tyne University qualifying in 2003. Dr Darker is a GP Trainer. Her medical interests include Diabetes, Women's Health, Children's Health, Minor Surgery and Palliative Care.

Dr Walsh read Medicine & Surgery at University of Liverpool qualifying in 2008. Special interests are Palliative Care, Mental Health, Care of the Elderly medicine and Respiratory medicine.

Nurses

The practice nurses work in the treatment room and are available for consultation Monday to Friday 08:30 -- 18:00. These should be booked through reception in the normal way. They provide general nursing care including blood tests, dressings, immunisation, cervical smears, Rubella screening, diabetic, asthma and blood pressure monitoring. They provide advice on minor illness, diet, weight control, foot care and general lifestyle. They also provide travel advice on disease prevention and full prophylactic immunisation as well as child immunisations. They also run Diabetes and Respiratory clinics.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Email: wychwood.reception@nhs.net Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
