During the Coronavirus Pandemic our usual appointments system is suspended.
All telephone calls requesting to see a doctor will be triaged by a doctor first, who will then decide whether you need to attend the surgery or your problems can be dealt with in some other way that does not necessitate visiting the surgery.
Please note that when you telephone the surgery you will be asked the nature of your call so that the reception team can ensure that the most appropriate team are asked to deal with your query and also so that the doctors can prioritise the urgency of your call. Our aim is to provide the best possible service for our patients during this difficult time and it helps if we have the relevant information about the patient.
Please ensure we have your most up to date contact details including home address, mobile telephone and email address where appropriate.
The nursing team are still seeing patients for dressings, blood tests, cervical screening, ear syringing, health checks and ECGs. Patients are being contacted about routine chronic disease monitoring such as diabetes, asthma and COPD monitoring where visits to the surgery are not required. However, if you receive an invitation asking you to attend the surgery for an appointment please attend as you need to see the clinician in a face to face setting.
We will notify you of any changes to our appointments system over the coming months.
